Caherdaniel, County Kerry, Ireland - by Judith O’Donnell
The Celtic Fringe
The theme of this exhibition is ‘Gallic Journeys’. People may think that this exclusively means Ireland but there are six territories which are widely considered to be The Celtic Nations. These are Brittany, Cornwall, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, the Isle of Man, and are commonly referred to as the "Celtic Fringe". Each has a Celtic language that is either still spoken or was spoken into modern times.
The exhibition consists of paintings and sketches of the breath taking landscapes seen from the
many trips made to these countries. All watercolors are done on-site whereas the oils are painted back in my studio.
These are the various landscapes which are in my show which I would like to share with you. I hope you enjoy seeing them as much as I have enjoyed painting them.
